Exorsus.net end-of-life

SAR users please note: Your sites are being transferred at this time and we hope to have them operational again shortly.

Due to security compromise, Exorsus.net has been taken offline permanently. Something like this was bound to happen eventually, the system was very old and couldn't keep up with updates.

Warnings regarding this scenario were sent out last year and the majority of users managed to migrate off to other services. If you are one of the unlucky users who did not, I'm afraid Exorsus is not coming back.

I still have the data itself available, and DNS service is still being provided. I can get data to you if you're patient. Please contact me on richard@exorsus.net and I'll see what I can do.

Questions

I have email on Exorsus, where is it? what's happening?

Email accounts have been migrated to a new system, and should continue working at the moment. Email in those accounts can be restored on request. Some email during the day may have been lost, but it is more likely that it is simply awaiting redelivery and will appear overnight.

Security compromise! did they read my email?

Possibly. It seems very unlikely at this time, the compromise was relatively limited in duration, but it is possible. If you've been sending passwords via email, you should look at changing those.

Where's the control panel now?

No more control panel, services are being provided off this (new) system only to enable people to continue with their lives until they're able to migrate to an alternative system.
